Local SQLite can't recover Lightning channel state from seed alone, so losing local data means losing the funds in the channels. VSS gives the wallet a remote, seed-derived store that can be reconstructed from the seed against the configured VSS endpoint. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
