Closes #71
Closes #80

Updates code in confusion_matrix() to work with pandas>=3.0. As this requires at least pandas>=2.1, we add those to the dependencies.

It also requires to use a non-interactive matplotlib backend to avoid Tcl errors in Windows runners.

Reviewer's guide (collapsed on small PRs)

Reviewer's Guide

Updates the confusion_matrix() implementation to use pandas 3.x-compatible DataFrame.map instead of the deprecated applymap pattern and removes associated warning handling, and raises the minimum pandas version to >=2.1.0 in pyproject.toml to match these API expectations.

File-Level Changes

Change Details Files
Adjust confusion_matrix() annotation construction to use pandas>=3.0-compatible APIs.
  • Replace use of DataFrame.applymap with DataFrame.map when building the annotation DataFrames for confusion matrix values.
  • Remove the warnings.catch_warnings context and FutureWarning filter that were previously used to support older pandas versions.
  • Preserve existing behavior for percentage vs absolute formatting using f-strings and human_format while updating the underlying pandas API usage.
audplot/core/api.py
Tighten pandas dependency to ensure compatibility with the updated confusion_matrix implementation.
  • Add an explicit pandas >=2.1.0 requirement to the project dependencies in pyproject.toml to guarantee availability of the used pandas APIs.
