When merged this pull request will:

Boosts the radius of the ACE_VMM3 (the slightly heavier one) mine detector from 2.5 m to 3.5 m.

Motivation:

In some missions combined with some Mods, like IEDD Notebook, IEDs and other explosives can be hard to spot.

Ace comes with 2 Minedetectors, the ACE_VMM3 and the ACE_VMH3.
In gameplay-terms the only differnce between those two is that the ACE_VMM3 is abit heavier, otherwise they're nearly identical (detectorPos slighly offset and different model).

Besides these with their rather short radius of 2.5 meters and the Vanilla Minedetector with its 15 meters + Radar screen, there is no inbetween.

Increasing the radius of one of the two mine detectors will provide mission makers with more options to find the balance for their mission.

Regarding the argument that this will make one detector superior over the other, i would like to point out the remote detonators from ACE_Explosives.

Comparing the M57 Firing Device ACE_Clacker with a range of 250 meters against the the M152 Firing Device ACE_M26_Clacker with a range of 5.000 meters, its easy to tell which one is the "clearly superior" version, yet they are both part of ace and provide the mission maker with options to adjust the players experience.

With the increased radius you made it so, that instead of two identical detecters now you have one thats clearly superior. I dont like that.

If you want to change them in a way thats meaningful gameplay wise, in my opionion, it should be a trade-off. Maybe on is larger while the other is faster or something alone those lines. And weight is hardly a trade-off.

1 m is quite the increase imo, we need to balance this a bit more.

Im not sure i follow. I made the heavier minedetector the one with a increased range, no?

Previously, the lighter version was the "clearly superior" version.

Further, a missionmaker can always choose which kit to provide to their players.

Look at the remote detonators for example:
One is like 150 meters, the other one is 5km or sth like that.
Following your argumentation, there is a "clearly superior" version.
Why not have the same for the detectors?

This change provides more options for a mission maker cause the gap between ACE Detectors with 2.5 meters as of now and Vanilla Detectors with 15m is big. Compared to that, an increase from 2.5 to 4 meters doesnt strike me as "out of balance".

As stated in the other PR, i ran missions where the ACE detector were simply not good enough to provide a good gameplay experience. The only alternative currently is the Vanilla Minedetector which is 15 meters and a sidepanal minimap which is, in my opinion, for most cases way to much.

im happy to reduce it, but i wouldnt want reduce it by much cause at that point im questioning the "whats the point then".
