This repository contains a "fan-made", playable "remake" of the 1982 Atari arcade game "Gravitar". It is created and published for the purposes of historical preservation, education, and personal study.
Certain graphical and gameplay elements are based upon the original work. No claim of ownership is made over the Gravitar intellectual property. All copyrights and trademarks related to Gravitar are the property of their respective owners (Atari, Inc. or its successors). This project is not endorsed by or affiliated with Atari.
The original source code and any wholly original assets created by the author of this repository are provided under the license terms below. The Gravitar-derived content (including level data and any directly extracted assets) is NOT covered by this license and remains the property of the original rights holders.

Post‑Expiry License
After the Expiry Date, the non‑commercial restriction in Section 1(b) is permanently lifted. The remaining terms, 1(a) the attribution requirement, and 1(c) Share‑Alike (Copyleft), continue to apply indefinitely. You may then use the Software for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that you still give attribution as described above.
In other words, from the Expiry Date onward, the Software is licensed under a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty‑free, attribution‑ only license (similar in spirit to a "CC BY 4.0" for code, but this is not an official Creative Commons license).
