Codes for Probabilistic Tsunami Hazard Assessment (PTHA).
The main purpose is to enable use of the 2018 Australian PTHA database, and also to show how calculations were implemented in some related papers and reports.
For more information see documentation in the sub-folders.
-
ptha_access contains scripts/tutorials to access the 2018 Australian PTHA database.
-
misc contains data and code from Geoscience Australia's related tsunami projects, with links to the associated papers and technical reports.
-
propagation contains the nested grid shallow water equations solver SWALS, used to model tsunamis in many of our studies.
- There are also many documented test problems, including from the well-known National Tsunami Hazard Mitigation Program test suite and others specific to dispersion.
-
R includes the R package rptha along with installation instructions and various tutorials and template scripts that use rptha (including project-specific scripts used for the 2018 Australian PTHA ).
Please use the most up-to-date source code, not the "releases". In this repository, "releases" are only used to snapshot the code at some point in time (e.g. a reference for older studies). The master branch is recommended for general use, and should pass the full test suite.
