My open source work centers on Python: both CPython itself and tools that improve Python development. I'm a Python Steering Council member (2026 term), the release manager for Python 3.16 and 3.17, part of the Faster CPython team working on the JIT compiler, and I maintain the argparse module.

Some of my CPython work happens during my day job at FastAPI Labs, but sponsorships help me dedicate additional time to the broader ecosystem — tackling issues outside my day-to-day focus, writing about CPython internals, attending conferences and core dev sprints, and building community resources like Core Dispatch.
