What's the current status of partner sharing regarding facial recognition, double uploads, etc

Hey, so far I mainly used my Immich instance just for myself. Now I want to add my wife's phone. What's the current best-practice regarding common pictures?

• We do not want to share all pictures
• We want to have common albums
• We would be happy to have no double uploads
• We would be happy to use the face search also on shared pictures

Is the best we can get so far to upload the common pics into my account, setup shared albums with her and wait for the faces to be sharable? in the meantime we could share the pics, but she wouldn't be able to use face search on the shared pics?

Looking for this feature as well.

I should be able to share albums from my profile and this should appear in other user's albums, timeline, memories and facial recognition. I don't want to create a common account for partner sharing.

I'm looking for the same thing. Trying to add my wife to my home server, and exit Google Photos altogether, but I need this shared timeline feature.
