Idea Description

Can we get a feed of #django from Mastodon into Discord?

Which existing platform's would this idea affect?

Rationale

This would surface conversations from the Fediverse into official spaces

Problem

The wider problem here is joining up interesting conversations and creating a wider inclusive community. Similarly with activity from Github repos (say new-features or django-commons)

Can we get a feed of #django from Mastodon into Discord?

What does this mean exactly? Is it the @Django account on Fosstodon or the hashtag? Asking because in case of the account itself, maybe the feed is easy enough to get via https://fosstodon.org/@django.rss

I am/was hoping to get a feed of any post tagged with #django We don't need the official account as we have a feed for that already (or at least what get's posted there).

The idea is to surface activity and conversations happening in the fediverse into Discord.

@jonbiemond that's probably a good server to get it from 👍 but isn't it otherwise limited to what a particular server can see from its location in the federated network?
