Idea Description

Research the need for new online spaces. Ensure that the spaces we have accurately meet the needs of the community. Consider or trial new spaces to see if they are better/worse for the community.

Rationale

This is a proactive idea to enhance the community, we can document our requirements for a community platform and who it would serve. This would be useful if an active platform were to shut down.

Problem

If a platform is no longer maintained or changes their stance that no longer aligns with the DSF then we need to have options available and know what we require from a platform.

Part of this discussion should be an evaluation of existing spaces and whether we can reduce the number of active spaces that exist, to reduce fragmentation.
