• Marco mentioned he is interested in adding CI and formatting rules to the ADHamamatsuDCAM repository. He'll be checking ci-scripts and clang-format rules for this.

• Inclusion of "Ongoing development" section to track issues that are being addressed and don't need to be discussed unless there are updates.

    • Convert NDPluginPva to use PVXS - changes from issues noticed when testing with pvxsDriver
• ADSupport:

    • Build module with MingW (and other compilers) with Ubuntu host on our GitLab server. - help wanted from anyone who uses MinGW to check and test

    • Provide updated tag - library situation seems to be fine, just need to tag

    • Convert vision functions to readEnum, so we only need to define them in the code.
    • Centroid Y coordinate reversed in AD coordinate system

    • Eiger2 MEDM Counting Mode is flipped - Tejas will take a look to confirm if it's an IOC or MEDM issue, Mark mentioned he could take a look as well

    • Driver doesn't use Acquire Period - possibly implement fallback to software acquisition loop (and try to inform user about it!)
      • Leave comment about this and/or open new issue
    • COPYFRAME strategy is defined at compile time
    • Driver should determine whether a property is supported before trying to access it.

    • Implement digital binning and ROI selection
      • Discussed other implementation options: existing warm-up, improve lazy open (if necessary), add more lazy functionality to Bluesky
      • Intention is to remove the warm-up as an optimization (which might not work for all drivers)
      • Open/move issue to ADCore for the discussion that pertains to all drivers

      • Mark: a mixer plugin could go further by implementing things like geometry aggregation from detectors with separate data streams (such as Lambda)

    • Add flag to prevent overwriting files in NDPluginFile
    • Move more functionality into the ADDriver base class

Ongoing development

• github actions build failing on windows-x64
• Fixing incompatible pointer assignment that causes build on RHEL 10 to fail
• Camera on Windows, ImageJ PVA plugin on same machine, gets really slow (1 FPS), no issue with CA or different machines
• Stale Items:
  • Find a way to stop misbehaving plugins from slowing down driver
    • 2025-05-08: close after documenting expected plugin behavior
