What happened?
Any fading animations don't quite render blurred transparency fading in and out. The blur doesn't come up until the fade animation is done. This is most apparent when setting KDE's animations to be as slow as possible. This happens in both X11 and Wayland, even with guest additions.

How can we reproduce this?
- Install Arch Linux
- Enable 3D Acceleration
- Set video memory to 256 MB
- Observe animations from opening the start menu, or clicking "Restart" or "Shut down" and watch as the background transition comes in.
